Though nothing like as thrilling as the birth of our little niece, the arrival of another “baby” brought some excitement to the Frazer household. Mocha calved just before we headed out to see Elizabeth for the first time. We are delighted that it is a heifer! And much to our surprise, she’s not the black expected. She revealed herself to be the typical frisky calf on her first excursion across the lawn.
And for those of you who were wondering, her name is Hershey and she was 48 lbs at birth.
Caramilk is so cute! I like her colour!
Hershey is cute. 🙂 I think she’s the cutest calf we’ve had yet! I liked the suggestion of naming her Caramilk, but in the end we ended up going with Hersey because she may very well turn a much darker colour (even black possibly) when she’s grown.
Nice pictures, Evelyn! I think Hershey is one of the cutest calves I’ve seen! 🙂
